General right of withdrawal

Consumers generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for distance contracts. German law provides exceptions for certain categories of goods, however.

Exemption for printed postcards

Every postcard ordered through "Print & mail" is made specifically for you only after payment is received: your own photo, a stamp generated individually for that photo, and your own text on the back. This makes it goods manufactured to your specifications and clearly tailored to your personal needs under § 312g (2) no. 1 BGB. Such goods carry no right of withdrawal — the order becomes binding once payment is confirmed.
